Christine Warner is a contemporary artist, working in Galena, Illinois. Her paintings are typically large-scaled acrylics of stylized figures.
"My work explores themes of self-identity and authenticity. Specifically, the questions of, “who am I?”; “am I on the right path?”; “am I being true to my values?.” For many of us, this process of self-reflection can be full of tension. To express this, I paint with vivid complementary colors, set off with metallics. I also build up the paint on the surface of the canvas to create a thick, lush texture. I believe this creates visual energy that may engage the viewer in their own internal dialogue”.Type your paragraph here.
